In the post, honest.
Back home, knackered. M20 roadworks & closure not what I needed, plus house is like a sauna. It’s going to be a sweaty night, and well past my bed time.

Great looking trip, great write up as usual and not a broken crank in sight!! Happy Days Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be again.

Glad to hear you home safe and sound and am sure Mrs Del welcomed you with open arms (well, maybe not as you scoffed most of the treats )

All treats are still intact, well apart from 2 x Dime bars but 8 is a weird number.
Just been unpacking, boy is it hot here. And dark at night, it's amazing how used to sleeping I got in full daylight. That first night in the car at Batterie Dietl I had sunlight steaming in at 11:30, takes a bit of getting used to.
Dish washer is on, cup holders are in there and car is mostly unpacked. Now got to sort out laundry (safe to say all of it) and the VC in the car. I've pressed the "save" buttons on the NextBase so will see what's on there, hopefully that second moose I spotted on the E4.
Car did brilliantly, not a hiccup or grumble or fault or hissy fit, apart from an annoying intermittent rattle from the sunroof but that was cured by opening it a little. 5,964 miles in 17 days, average mpg of 30.48. I think she's dropped a couple of mpg with the ATRs on the long hauls but seems better on "normal" roads and back roads. I was certainly glad I had them on the back roads of Finland.

Car is now a lot lighter!! VC haul is pretty good, should last a week or two.

Looks very respectable even by Finnish importing standards (from Estonia)...

I’ve seen those cars queuing to get onto the ferry in Tallinn, that lot would be what’s on the front passenger seat!!! S’pose day trips to Estonia would be well worth it for stocking up for anyone in the south of Finland.

They do it even from up north... some take a whole van and fill it up. There was recently a difference in opinion between some private buyer and customs. The officials claimed that contents of a van cannot be for one person’s private consumption anymore, it is trafficking, etc ..... the buyer said that he needs to buy half a year’s supply each time

And it was probably a very big van!! Not surprising seeing the difference in the price of booze, the long cold winter nights combined with the low price a couple of hours away by ferry and the cheapness of that crossing. Plus stock up on slightly cheaper fuel, well it was last year.

It’s good to be home and sleeping in my somewhat sweaty bed.
Was officially a very good trip, and as a bonus I finished it in the same car I started in!!
No unexpected faults (ie not from my mods), hurdiegurdie lights are off and digital speedo back to mph, all in the flash of my superhero powers/diagnosis widget. Gotta love the mighty IID.
