Hi Tristan,
One small point regarding the Cox, I believe these days it is available in two versions, either with a rear diff or with a solid axle. I have an antique (called Lazarus....) with a solid axle and I cut a bank with about a 30+ deg slope (driving up from the bottom, front wheels just coming off the ground at top) and i believe that they are about bullet proof (if less sophisticated than some of the pussy alternatives!).
The solid axle is probably less ideal for a smooth manicured lawn (harder turning) but ideal for rough, slippery or sloping areas.
