Hi used17" BFG A/Ts on my D2 for 40,000 miles and they were great, no noise held at speed (115mph) good around corners and fine off road. For severe off road reduce pressures to approx 15psi.
On my new D3 18" could not get BFG in the rim size so have General Grabber A/Ts. have done 2500 miles of which approx 200 off road with no problems

all the best[/b]

Hi All,
I have BFG A/T 265/70/17 fitted on my D3 with coils (I also had these tyres - in 235/70/16 size) on my D1. I like them, as a good compromise for on- & off-road.

I have had no problem with rubbing, but like others, I have the ARB bar fitted.

The only hassle is that this size tyre, when inflated, won't fit in the "spare wheel" position under the car. The options are to deflate it fully to fit under the car, or carry it in the back (with tie-down straps).

In time, I will fit a swing-away wheel carrier.

Best Wishes,
Peter

I'm also looking for an AT tyre for my 17" rimms.

265/70/17 I find is a bit to big, and doesn't fit under the car.

Anybody tried the 245/70/17???

Would the General Grabber AT2 265/65R17 fit as spare wheel under the car?

STANDARD: GoodYear or Pirelli - 17"- 235/70R17 - (76.08 cm high)
BIT BIGGER: General Grabber AT² - 17" - 265/65R17 - (77.63 cm high)
BIGGEST: General Grabber AT² - 17" - 265/70R17 - (80.28 cm high)

I know for sure that the 265/70 does not fit... Whistle

thx!
