The run out Landmark model and late HSE Luxury models in their base form are virtually identical. The only difference is that the Lux has a perforated steering wheel cover and diamond cut alloys. Although some Landmarks came with those alloys. My current Landmark did, the previous one had style 511 rims.
However, the Lux had a far wider choice of interior and exterior colours.
The Lux is also more likely to have a higher additional spec. as the full range of options were available when they were being built. So a fridge and surround cameras were often added.
I have seen Landmarks with these options, but they’re rare.
Standard across both are RSE, premium leather and extended leather, door card lighting, top spec. audio with TV, in control apps etc. as well all the usual HSE spec.
The big changes were MY14 facelift (grille and indicators on mirrors) and then then the EU6 engine in late 2015.
So all runout Landmarks and Graphites were EU6, but not all Lux’s
If you plan to keep the D4 long term, the EU6 engine could be important. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE

For 12-14MY you won't get a Landmark - basically 16MY onwards
12MY gets the 8spd box
13MY gets better nav/infotainment
I had a 13MY XS, specced above basic HSE so that I didn't have to have the leaky sunroofs, so there are a few around with a decent spec if you look hard enough.
Not sure when HSE Lux build started?
The other thing that changes as you come forwards in time is the addition of ad-blue which gives you added complications - like reduced ground clearance - but lower tax.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Wasn’t there earlier Landmarks, around 2012MY or so? A so called limited edition that they just kept churning out, hence not so limited. ISTR devonchillieman had one.

^ Correct before the 8 speed came along they had a landmark run out model HSE or similar with a cream panel strips inside - didn't look great IMO
