D3 Courier service - Rosyth Fife to SE Essex |
|
Hi all
I have been lucky in obtaining some seat covers from B16 KJR who lives in Rosyth, Fife.
I need help transporting these to SE Essex. Not urgent.
Anyone who can help will be reimbursed with beer at one of the D3 gatherings this year
TIA

Are these bulky? Mine were flat packed and would have gone in a suitcase.
I'm coming down to London without the car at the end of the month and if they were packable I could bring them. If not, the car is going as far as Leeds in mid Feb.

hmmm ... TBH I have NO idea how large a package these would be.
Any one know?
Spotter - thanks for offer but I reckon they might be a bit too bulky for you to move them by air
Alex - getting them to Leeds by car would probably be useful - I'm sure I could get them onwards from there somehow.

Tazdaz, I'm in Leeds quite a lot, so can pick them up from there and bring them down to you, or to the SE Pub meet.... The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

if they are packed as in original from Land Rover they come in packets about the same volume size as a A4 box file....
if they've been opened, looked at and then re-packed they could be double that size....the typical chinese puzzle....how to get a 1 pint pot into a half pint container
well...especially if i repack them
Nick TLO has left the building.......

No problem then. If we can establish size as being important here, I can take them down on the train to London at the end of the month if they can go in a sports bag or something similar. I'll be in Lincolns Inn Fields area so would need to be met there or Euston as I won't have transport.
If the package is larger then I'll take to Leeds in mid Feb for onward collection.
Unless of course you get a better offer.............

Alex - As there are seven covers and I bet they don't pack down like the original packing did I think you'd probably struggle to get them in a sports bag - plus getting them from you from Lincolns Inn or Euston during the day could be a problem, I think the offer to get them to Leeds and then see if ndajs12 can get them from there to me or SE meet seems favorite.
however, if we can find someone in the Brum area can get them from jkp at the weekend (this must be the Autosport event weekend) 12/13th that is an alternative offer. OK so who goes to Birmingham / London /SE then?
LOL

If it's a problem I can arrange our courier to collect them. We have an account with Interlink and get special pricing, 10kg for £10 for a next day. They may charge an admin fee for third party collection, but this is how I got my tow rope from the group buy.
PM if you want me to get a price for you.
