Rusty Bottom
Having somehow lost the rubber bump-stop on the NSR door, I bought a replacement from the dealer today (£1.70) and fitted it this evening.
While I was down there, I noticed that the metal pan on the bottom of both front seats appears to have quite bad surface corrosion - wiping a hand over it gave rust-coloured fingers.
Is this normal for a two-year old Landmark with Windsor leather electric seats?

My D4 had that from when I got it, about the same amount of rust under the seat at 5 years. And hardly anyone sat in the middle row seats.

Gordon, I wonder if your vehicle was used by Land Rover Experience? I know that we had some rental D4's when they stopped making them before we got our D5's.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

I've been assured by the dealer that it is not a former Experience vehicle.Gordon

Unfortunately, I know your experience with dealers and I wouldn't trust any of them.
Does it say who the former keeper was on the V5C?1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Sadly, you’re right. Nothing would surprise me...
...except perhaps my car coming back from the dealer on time and without unfinished work and damaged parts.

I think(if it were mine, and a keeper) i would take the seats out and clean off the rust, and paint the bare metal tbh, pretty poor show from LR that is. a penny pinching manufacturer to avoid these days IMHO.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. I kind of screwed them on with the help of a plastic knife to stuff it in the hole. Plastic instead of metal to not damage the paint.

Put a spot of adhesive on the tip that goes into the hole, not super glue and they will slip on easy and not pull out.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
