Nicely done.
I’ve had my D4 wheel fitted for just over a week now.
It’s a nice change from my 14 year old original wheel.
I got a heated flappy paddle one with BBS modules and D4 Bluetooth module.
It’s a nice upgrade.

Nice Job on the steering wheel Gary I know I'll be going down that route as well in the future but SWMBO wants a heated one but hey she's paying lol.
Have you had a date for your op yet wishing you all the best for that Fella

Hi
Many thks, know it took a while to get it done , but must admit prefer the layout of the D4 wheel
Had to have emergency surgery over the xmas new year period, I tired to change my ATF oil nad my back completely locked up , ambulance called and then emergency surgery
Will be laid up for months , fingers crossed will be back on my feet for spring time, just on total rest for now
Thks again and always happy to help with any questions ref the steering wheel, couldn’t warrant spending the extra on a heated one so got a Bluetooth tyre monitoring system instead, can use it via my iPad, its the external TPMS , but can’t move to fit them yet

Sorry to hear that fella its that thing isn't it I'll just do that I'll be ok then the hits the fan but at least your on the mend Will try and keep you busy on the research front in the meantime. So with that in mind The RR digital dash conversion won't work in our older D3s because of the difference in CANBUS speeds how do we go about reducing CANBUS speeds you see where I'm going
All the best
Clive

Many thks and count myself lucky as it could have been worse
, indeed I see where ur going , thought they did work as I saw a video ref a RR sport that had one fitted , but must have read it wrong , plus I assumed the op was modifying them ready to fit to others who wanted one
Must admit Haven’t checked back lately of the latest outcomes

Airbags are the same, no difference between D3 and D4
Re-use your current airbag, it'll fit.
Is there anything special that needs to be done to get the D3 airbag to fit? I was surprised how reasonable the cost of D4 steering wheels are used. I was looking at the RRS wheel new for $750 USD. Looks like the whole D4 setup can be done for way less. Just wondering what it takes to get it a D3 bag to work.

Straight swap - the D3 airbag fits into the D4 wheel.

The D3 & D4 airbags are very slightly different in profile, fitting the D3 airbag back onto the on the D4 wheel is perfectly ok (just plug and play) but there will be a slight lip at the top and for me that didn’t work so I just bought D4 airbag.
I thought I had a photo this but can’t find it.I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Hi nige
Hope ur well
Plus 1 , also done the same , ref the D4 airbag , looked better along with not having the annoying curling up at the edges like on the D3 airbags
Beat u to it ref the pic , snigger
Ps, @ Broncoduecer, D3 airbag is on the left and indeed can see as others have said with the D4 one ( on the right hand side pic ) the top is flat and also think it looks better

I’m good thanks Gary, are you on the mend?
I have a D4 heated wheel in the garage but can’t get hold of the boards so may just list it my standard D4 wheel is ok for as I don’t need it heated if I’m not using the car I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
