More than brown trouser moment I only restored it cause had a most fault code after I Tried to fit the later Satnav and stereo and amp which didn’t bloody work for what ever reason so after refditing the old stuff back the code appeared and wouldn’t go wasn’t affecting anything but was annoying lessen Lerner leave alone if it’s not affecting nothing
He did say it’s made it harder for them cause the digital ic I put in it
I did offer to refit my old one but they said not to worrie they sort it with the digital one in it
The car starts and drives but is very bouncy on the deck and 150 fault codes
Don’t know why the iid tool has stopped communicating as even if d3 files the can bus should still be recognised even if it’s a different speedDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Managed to get it communicating myself in the end
How I got it communicating with the car is as follows
Ignition off plug iid tool in no can connection
Pull fuse number 5 turn ignition on no connection Turn ignition off pull tool out of obd port and reinsert
And bang starts communicating turn ignition on and job done
It will not communicate will fuse 5 in
I got lucky as waiting for gap though I would try 1 fuse at a time see if any thing happened as read about a post about fuse 16 on a disco 3
Well how lucky was it to be fuse 5 so after 5th attemp it worked and car back to normal
But u must do as the above as it still won’t communicate until it’s unpluged and re insertedDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
