Any aerial professionals here? |

In our caravan we have struggled at times to get a decent TV signal. We did have F connectors on the cable between the wall socket and the TV instead of coax plugs, and to get some nice angles I had two right-angke F connectors as well. This gave really poor signals until I changed to normal coax plugs. Why would this have been?
Also, to get a connection from the site bollard there is a wall socket in the battery box, routed to the point in the lounge. There was no outlet in the bedroom so I tee'd off from the back of the battery box plate but this gave poor signals, only wiring if only one cable was connected, the one to the lounge or the one to the bedroom, but not both. It's as if it didn't like an open end in the other direction to where the TV is connected. Would this have been the case?

Is a pre installed signal booster in the caravan which perhaps isn't turned on?
Is taking a connection from the rear of the battery box socket also bypassing this booster (if it does have one)
