Tow ball conundrum
Can anyone tell me if this tow ball bracket can be turned the other way round? I think my van sits quite low and any other tow balls I see fitted to a Disco seem to sit a lot higher ? See picture
Only reasoning I’m questioning is that two pairs of holes are counter sunk ?

Want to fit it in the middle position. Just wondered also if all screws need to go back in? Obviously the counter sinks won’t fit in the lower hole position.

Yes you can.
Our D3 one has been turned round. Just leaves you with a pair of bolts to keep in a safe place in case you want to lower the height again.
Have now done the same to D4 too.

You can take that plate off if it helps, I had dealer fitted and it’s not got the plate on, quite a weight saving!
My toe ball is bottom holes then or middle as you’ve got itMY2023 Discovery 5 R-Dynamic 3.0

Remove the counter sunk bolts, and refit without the plate that the counter sunk bolts hold in place. Fit the towball to the bottom holes of the four holes that remain of the Towbar.

There are a few different ways you can fit it turning the backing plate upside down and moving it up a bit.
Here is my setup which suits my trailers

A bit late to the party but this is my LR fixed tow bar in the correct position for towing a caravan. It also gives some protection from the caravan tow hitch when you back into it
