Discovery 4 commercial manual to electric seat ungrade probl
Can anyone help me with an electrical issue.
I'm in the process of fitting a full set of leather electric seats to my 2010 D4 commercial 2.7V6 with manual front seats.
I've managed to fit the 5 rear seats and the front passenger seat, which I just plugged into the under seat harness and now works great with all electric seat movement.
I've tried doing the same with the drivers seat but I have no electric power functions at all, I have also fitted a seat module to the grey and green plugs that are part of the seat harness thinking this would cure the problem, but nothing.
Can anyone help with advise please.

If the front leather seats have two stripes down the middle it then it is a XS style seat and will should work fine. If there are no stripes and it has armrests then its more likely to be an HSE seat that needs memory integration etc to work ...

Thanks Famousfive.
But what do you mean when you say "memory integration". I thought that's what the module was for that is bolted to the under side of the seat.
It seemed that I didn't have the under seat module plugged in properly, this now plugged in and I do now have some movement but only in one second bursts.
The next problem is that the seat now only moves half way back, but still in 1 second bursts. Up, down and rear recline all work fine but in one second bursts. The rear and side bolster adjustments both work as they should.

I was thinking I may need the door switches, but I seem to have two removable plugs missing from the main vehicle harness under the seat, the one that plugs into the seat harness. One would connect to what looks like a seat position sensor and another with two thin wires that just seem to go into the module fixed to the seat. The wiring harness at the door end seems to have all the correct wires for the memory seat switches on the driver door card.
I have had another play with the drivers seat today, I put a live supply to all of the motors and ran them all through their full range. Then plugged the seat into the vehicle wiring harness again and it now all seems to be working, even the back and forward to it's full range, but still only in one second blasts.
Any ideas anyone.
