| Recommend me some... Spring sunshine |

Hi folks
SWMBO and I want some spring sunshine, 7-10 days in March 2019. Looking for somewhere coastal with lots to see and do, plenty of history ... somewhere like Cannes or Nice, or Palma Mallorca is an ideal role model but we've been there loads of times so interested in other recommendations.
Max 4 hours by air, easy transfer by public transport.
I can google with the rest of them but prefer ideas (preferably based on your own experience!) very welcome - thank you all. ____

We love Valencia (so much so, we almost moved there before we had kids). Couple of hours to get there, and then you can walk round the old city, the market is amazing. And the most impressive this is the sunken park that snakes its way through the whole city where they have re-routed the river (imagine if the Thames was drained and turned into a long park).
So you can hire some bikes and just explore, using the park to join up sections of the city. There is also the harbour (where the street racetrack is based) and a huge beach either a bike ride or metro trip away.
Loads of old churches, and buildings to see, some really good food to enjoy and also not too expensive when you're there (certainly compared to Barcelona etc.)
That's my suggestion. D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

I guess it depends what you are basing it on?
Lots of Money there now.. Multi Million Euro Properties, High density of Masarati and Ferrari ownership.. As well as the locals who still trundle around in old beat up trucks etc..
There are a few sides to Cyprus, I would not visit the Occupied part. It certainly appears not to have moved on much.
the sunshine and the beaches and the food are still great.. Oh and it has an Ikea.. Progress??
