Parrot MKi9200 - SOT Question
Hi all,
First of all, I have actually used the search facility but I’m still a little confused, sorry!
I’m picking up a 54 plate D3 HSE tomorrow and would like to install my Parrot MKi9200 from my old vehicle into the D3. Whilst the vehicle has a few other gadgets, it does not appear to have the telephone connectivity and thus - I assume - the Bluetooth capability either. I wish to use the Parrot to stream music via its built-in Bluetooth, make calls and use its bunch of input/aux inputs to fix iPods and/or thumb drives to play music through the Parrot and this through the HK Logic 7.
However, whilst I have seen a pricey SOT suggestion on a previous archived thread, there seems to be quite a few on eBay now which vary somewhat in price; all a lot cheaper, too.
My questions:
1. Are all leads made alike and have simply come down in price now or are some functions limited?
2. Is there a generic eBay-searchable part number for an SOT which will allow me to do the above and have the intelligence to mute my bad taste in music should the phone ring?
Cheers, Sam

My lead for my Parrot was supplied by the same company who supplied the kit
This is the lead

No need for a SOT cable this is how I successfully did mine, although nothing will beat a D4 phone module and they work better on a D3 than a D4 IMHO
I think that was the lead I saw on one of the threads I searched; I can't justify spending £50 on a bunch of wires though - I had hoped one of the ones on eBay would do the same job?

Yes I've searched eBay myself but I'm struggling with seemingly different (better?) leads and a range of prices. I was rather hoping someone may furnish me with a 'generic' part number for the required lead; do they all mute or just the posh ones?

Don't kid yourself you will get BT music cheaply.
You will be luckly if the SOT cables actually power the parrot at all!

So, I ordered an SOT harness off eBay which claimed to be the correct one for my vehicle (54 plate Disco 3 HSE), took off the dash and it eventually left me with a square peg, round hole scenario with the remaining connectors. I’ve done seemingly endless searches to try and find an illustrated ‘how to’ for the harness, but to no avail. Whilst I’m aware there is another way to do this with individual wires etc, I was hoping to just buy an SOT and plug it in like with any other I’ve ever had.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Sam

The one in my link above was plug and play, not the cheapest but took very little time to get the Parrot up and running

Hi,
Yes just too expensive for me - I’m sure there must be one out there on eBay for less than half the price; there certainly has been for every other vehicle have had this installed in. I’m hoping they’ve just sent the wrong harness as they state quite clearly on the listing it will fit a Disco 3 with the HK sound system...

As per pictures above.
The problem becomes apparent when I am left with no other connectors to join other then the ones to the radio / car
