I got it,
LR approved dual battery system, is a Genesyz LR code is a VT0PD3. I spoke to Genesyz direct and the info is that this is the same as the V20P on their site http://www.genesyz.co.za/V20P-2.html it is supplied with a 70 Ah deep cycle battery.
Note it has to be purchased and installed through LR for the warranty. R 6149.25 Vat inc .

R4,200 from BRS, battery included. Of course that doesn't include the cost of driving to Joburg to get it installed, but at the time BRS were the only guys who I knew of that could install a second battery.

OK, so I have the LR approved system, but is BRS a LR approved fitment centre? If not I have warranty issues? Ah that anyway. With all the "illegal" stuff on my vehicle I don't think I will have much luck claiming anything from warranty anyway.

Rob - someone on the forum had a winch fitted in Durbs and was quite happy about it - maybe the same place does battery systems fitment? I am not sure, but was it Aubrey?
BTW, you are not Bobby Harvey ex SBHS, are you?

Baben,
Bobby Harvey I'm not (although my grandfather was Bob). I'm a bit young at 36 to be Bob yet
Re the winch a mate of mine had it done by Mr Winch, as well as Aubrey, neat job. Not sure if they do 2nd batteries, but even so, Karl does such a good job it was worth driving up for the day to get it done. Will ask LR Umhlanga who they use now that LR offer it officially.
BTW my mates whole battery system packed up in Botswana due to inferior work. It drained his 2nd battery as well as his main. Lesson - if you want ice cold beers on holiday don't compromise on quality.
