Wasn’t it Whatcar that last year gave Jag/LR the award for the best approved used car scheme and then I read on this very forum that the approved used warranty didn’t cover crank failure because it was a known fault!!
Just saying Discovery 4 HSE

Just saying if they can give an award for a used car scheme that has a such a fundamental flaw.
That maybe some of the other category winners should be taken with a pinch of salt Discovery 4 HSE

Perhaps it’s a luxury to afford a new one?

It's more versatile than FFRR, but I think the FFRR and Bentayga etc. are possibly in a different classification. Super Luxury cars or something like that.
It's good to see something positive about JLR for a change. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Bentley is too expensive but a FFRR can be had for under the £100k limit, so it says a lot for the D5. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

You can buy a base spec 2.0L D5 for a lot less than the 3.0 HSE
Quote:There are cheaper versions of the Discovery, but for the best experience you really need the creamy diesel V6, while HSE Luxury trim’s generosity with creature comforts means you needn’t trouble you.
I really don't think the FFRR is in the same category for the What Car awards, but I'm happy to be proved wrong.
ETA- The D5 was the winner in the 60k-£100k catergory. I think the FFRR would have been in the £100k+ catergory which the Bentley won.
