Oil Drip
Whilst servicing my FBH last week I noticed a bit of oil around the nearside lower intercooler pipe.
Nice clean oil so can't be from the intercooler and looking further up there is oil on the pipe above too.
There doesn't appear to be a leak at the gearbox oil cooler pipe where it enters the top of the rad.
Anyone seen this before, please?

It is a bit difficult to see a great deal in that area, there are quite a few hoses and the washer bottle and expansion tank are all in the way. from what I could see there looked like a hose looping out of the gearbox oil cooler and straight back in, when I prodded it with a screwdriver it felt very soft making me think it could be the culprit.Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
I had a similar leak in that area which turned out to be both the flow & return pipes on the gearbox cooler pipes being loose.
Cleaned & tightened them both up & have been dry since although the whole lot is being replaced later this month because the crimp joint between the metal & rubber above the rack is leaking on one of the pipes.

Had a go at tightening the lower lower gearbox cooler pipe today. No matter how I approached I just couldn't get a socket on the pipe clip. Once you get your hand down near it you can't see so have to do it by feel and there is hardly any room to wield the ratchet. Loosened the coolant tank removed the top gearbox cooler pipe, removed the epper pipe into the expansion tank + the top fan shroud and air intake pipe. The pipe clip I am trying to get to is angled towards the near side so I couldn't simply get a long extension bar down to it. Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

All sorted with two new jubilee clips for £2.65 and £180 of labour at my Indy Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
At least you have the piece of mind it's sorted now
Mines in on Thursday for the hoses/pipes to be replaced. Just realised the gearbox oil will probably need to be fully or partially drained. I can't remember if the original sumps have a drain on them. I hope so as when the sump was replaced at a previous service we had a load of trouble with it leaking. I'm hoping that be trying to solve one leak it doesn't cause another to reappear.
Then, If the oil can't be recovered I'll need to get some more Dr Tranny to add to boot.
If its not one thing its another
