its mentioned here the importance of mirror sensor height to screen angle and this may explain why some folks think its a poor system and others like it i had it on a 2010 and always thought it poor but on my 2014 its very good only occasionally getting caught out when looking across the angle of a bend .
so im thinking the factory set up variance may explain this difference in experience adding in the human factor of coarse of expectation V real world reality .
id definitely want it on my next car MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car
MY10 HSE D4 auto
MY14 XXV more buttons than the spaceshuttle

have MY11 discovery with extra light ramp on the roof. Cannot use the auto function as it reacts on reflective street signs. Very annoying.

Do anyone know what the correct part number for Discovery 4 2010 would be?
I have tried retrofitting to my 2010 and bought one used with part number AH32 17E678 BB from an 2010 RRS, but have same problem as pfermer had with his first mirrors.

To answer my own post, the correct part number would be AH42 17E678 xx. AH32 is for Range Rover Sport, and will not work with high beam assist on Discovery 4. I bought another used mirror with part number AH42-17E678-AD and the high beam assist now works perfect
Made this list of part numbers for mirrors with high beam assist for Discovery 4:
