Strange specs
Just collected SWMBO's new car, another Evoque (the 'old' one), still looks dogs danglies to me I have to say. It was a vehicle from stock so I didn't spec' the black pack on it (can't see the point on a black car TBH).
It replaces her last Evoque a 'Landmark' edition, that was in beautiful 'Moraine Blue' with contrast roof and wheels. It also, more importantly to SWMBO had keyless entry (ladies and ;lost keys' in handbags for her), powered tailgate (she is short and petite and the tailgates are not light) and heated steering wheel (she admits that was a luxury).
So the new motor is a higher spec HSE and it has none of those above three 'must have' items fitted as standard She isn't happy.......
It does however come with all the following that she is not that bothered by;
1" bigger wheels/tyres - to her 'so what'
Higher grade leather - nothing wrong with the previous leather
Later spec sat-nav with 10" screen - she found the old one was 'fine'
Extra USB slot in console - 'what for?' she said
Auto dimming rear view mirror - no idea what that did/was for her
Smoked rear tail lights - that she doesn't like
Ambient lighting (not sure why there is a need to select one of 15 different colours for the interior door downlighters.....) she has selected a rather nice blue hue though
Aluminium 'Evoque' plates on door cills - they'll scuff the same as the black ones on the old car
The things it does come with the 'Landmark' didn't is a CD player and she's pleased about that (I'd just got SWMBO into using streaming given "no car has a CD player now" and up pops one.... ) and, one for me, the front seats now have memory (so I'm not stood there having to hold the button down to adjust seats back from minimum to maximum)
As I said though it does look good still

Nah, it’ll be fine getting washed once a year at the service. Will just be a mix of blue & grey.

I prefer the blue too (and its black leather interior, can't stand cream/beige leather....)
