Which fuse for my dashcam please? Sorted now! |
|
Just fitting my Nextbase 512, and got the wiring in from the camera mount to the fuse box behind the glove box. MY 12
I read a post on here about using fuse 63, which I found, but no way the supplied piggy back fuse doubler will work in that location, due to other ‘gubbins’ in the way!
Please can anyone suggest either a different fuse to use, with more access room, or a different piggy back set up that might fit?
This is the genuine Nextbase installation kit.
The other thought was to take the power from one of the 12 volt sockets centre dash, but no idea how to get behind them.......
Many thanks in anticipation.

Oddly, this morning I just got out my Blackvue out with view to hard-wiring in later today.
Can't remember the fuse I piggy backed in my last D4 & D3, so confirmation of the most suitable one would be of great help.
Will bear in mind the fridge fuse in mind [whatever number I find that out to be].
Edited to add: thanks Dean, your post just popped up before mine .... will keep that in mind ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Just got around to wiring in the Blackvue.
Used fuse 20 (heated steering wheel) a nice easy one to get to. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
