Nice welcome to Club Camper 🤣

We swapped from a caravan last year primarily so we could take the MG with us.

Very Nice Mark perhaps you could get a spec on the back and drag the disco behind you Shocked

On second thoughts you’d be better off with the spec on the back of the disco pulling the motorhome Laughing Thumbs Up

Ive been told it could take two weeks before i can collect it as i have insisted on the cam belt being changed with the service. I'm also having a solar panel fitted that a i bought for my Disco a while back. (It was too big for it Embarassed ).

How does that work for you Bill towing the MG ? How is the car connected and what about the electrics ?
Is that the legal way to do it in Europe as It would be something i would like to do (Not this trip though )

Certainly can't tow a car that way in Spain - it needs to be on a trailer.
We've done caravans to Spain for the last 9 years and I've thought about a motorhome, but I would still want to go off and explore an area, which is not so easy with a big vehicle, so a small car behind would be ideal.

That's the reason we stuck with a caravan. I do think however, that as cars get smaller and lighter, and especially when EV or Hybrid becomes the norm, then to have to own a car with the ability to tow a caravan, for the occasional use it gets, makes the Moho argument stronger.

How about a couple of mopeds or electric bikes on the back?

Tows like a dream dont even know its there. A frame to a modified crash beam, car brakes are operated by an inertia system, car lights have a a tow socket wired in so they operate like normal trailer lights, so fully legal in the UK. Once removed electrics are hidden behind the number plare and other connections are descritly hidden in the lower grill. Most definitly not allowed in Spain, rest of Europe suposedly illegal but people seem to get away with it especially if they have paperwork in the local language explaining what makes it legal.

Yes I put the number plates back on the wrong way round.
