Low life scum bags
We thought that one of our cats had hurt its front leg jumping up/down from a book case last night.
Cat taken to the vet today, and X ray confirmed broken leg due to the cat been shot. Cat may or may not have to have front leg amputated.
Now IF you are going to shoot an animal you shoot to kill and not maim the animal.
Must admit would like to shove that air rifle up where the sun does not shine on low life scum bag and pull the trigger.
If cats are for target practise what next? Lambs, dogs, kids on way home from school?

Reported to West Yorkshire police via their online report forms. They do not have a fire arms offence report so reported via criminal damage. Yes I know there is issues about what a cat is considered to be as it is not livestock.
Is it animal cruelty, definitely yes but it did not fall into any of their particular boxes.
There are definitely some low life scum bags who should have been put down at birth.

B ds, if they are cought the punishment should fit the crime. Incidentally they do shoot to kill, luckily they missed.
Report the incident to the RSPCA, they may be more willing to catch the culprit. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Hi
@Leeds im so sorry to hear that , hope ur cat makes a full recovery and comfortable
A few years back that’s what happened to my cat, over 10 x cats were shot and killed , council believed it was the Croydon animal cat killer , as he was found and filled with lead shot
Indeed also makes my blood boil and I’d put a lead shot in there bloody kneecaps and see how they like it

Agree with all of the sentiments above, my cats are part of my family and anyone that did that would not be walking around for a very long time!
Hope the little one will be ok... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

The cat which was shot is a feral cat which was born in a barn in Chapel le Dale. This cat is tough as old boots, a bone in lower leg shattered by pellet, OK was limping but not making a real fuss about the injury. She was jumping up onto a window sill and then up on top of the book case so 2 x 3 ft jumps a piece with a broken leg. Must have hurt jumping down when we noticed the cat was limping.
On local farce book page someone said cats got shot because they crap in neighbours gardens. In our case neighbours gardens are at limit of normal range for a cat.
I feel like saying does that entitle me to shoot the dogs who crap at the end of our drive? Can I shoot the horses which crap on the local roads and I have to drive through the crap. How about the sheep and cattle who crap on public footpaths? What about the birds who crap on our vehicles.
All animals crap and that includes humans except some humans also speak crap!

Hope your cat is ok and makes a full recovery, I agree with the comments from fellow forum members about these scum, our cats are family and believe in an eye for an eye, shoot the low life scum in the knees and shatter their bones only don’t give them any medical treatment.General Grabber AT3's

Well Skit the shot cat is going stir crazy. She is used to coming and going at her own will.
Does not seem to be in pain, but is determined to go outside. Definitely does not like to be shut in a single room let alone the cage.

Last year one of our two cats bust his pelvis. We think he got hit by a car. He had to have cage rest for 6 weeks and it turned into a nightmare. He was just desperate to get out, did a lot of crying that really tugs on your heart strings but you must remain firm, it's for their own good but boy oh boy, is it upsetting to hear them constantly crying out.
He's absolutely fine now, made a full recovery. Mods:
