Bailey Alicante Grand

Hi, after a few years and 3 Swift models our heads are turned by the Bailey Alicante Grand range, in particular the Estoril twin single bed model. Kids are no longer interested and old enough to stay at home so this is mainly just for the two of us.

Anyone with any thoughts or comments about Bailey as a brand or even this model in particular - the local dealer is decent which I know is key.

The 8' width doesn't get me up nor down as I'm a confident tower with experience of this width of trailer.

Cheers Dex

I've found Bailey to be quite good - I've had 2 vans from new off them and very little that needed fixing on warranty. And they seem to be over the problems they had a few years back when they introduced Alu-Tech construction.

As you say, the dealer is crucial IME.

My Bailey is now 11 years old and has been great for us. Furnishings and interior have not dated yet, or got on our nerves for being garish as many recent interiors would. Layout is excellent for our needs. If I had to fault it - it would be too many cupboards, as girl-friend thinks they should all be filled with clothes and food.

No wish to give it up but I was looking closely at Bailey's new Bolognaise one.

We bought our BaileyGrande Rimini last september, similar to the Alicante, not used it much yet, but so far very pleased. It has the 'G' shaped lounge seating which we like, and also the two single beds. The 8 foot width isn't that much more than the normal width, no problem. The only disappointment was that in the brochure it said it had the Alko wheel lock receiver fitted, which it didn't. The dealer couldn't explain it, got on to Bailey, who told me although the brochure was out in 2019 it was for the 2020 model, which had it fitted whereas the 2019 didn't. Heating works well, blown air not wet, but happy with that.
