[Wanted] Full length roof bars
As title suggests, I am after a pair of genuine (i think) full length roof bars in black or grey if anyone has some or a recommendation on where to get them.
Thanks!

A few of us have used the full length rails from Powerful UK - they seem to be quite good. Come with all the right parts (seals/bolts), which some of the chinese copies dont.

I had a pair of eBay long roof rails on my D3. They looked OEM and really were great quality. I had to tweak them a little when fitting them as they needed a little persuasion but I got the job done, you really couldn't tell they were after market.
Cost about 5 times less than genuine so you decide.

Two very helpful responses - thanks both! Will leave this as I found just in case but looks like after market is the sensible option.

You'll need to use a chaser bolt on the unused forward fixture before bolting down.
If you don't you risk snapping a bolt as you tighten it up....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
As per Narpy... IIRC I paid low money , ~£115, and the rails themselves are fine. Plastic end bits are not as good as genuine, but you have to look VERY closely to know that..

Still haven’t made my mind up on these... do you all use genuine roof bars or do you have to use bars that fit/work with your chosen rails?

I’m after another set of these now I’ve switched to a different D4. Genuine full length in black ideally.

I bought some from eBay that came with aero cross bars as well as the full length rails.
At the time I couldn’t find genuine for under 600 quid….
Took a real gamble as they were only 180 all in.
Apart from the wise words of ronp above, (use a chaser bolt as the threads are a pig under the bungs) they are really easy to fit.
I initially bought them as an aesthetic really (and the occasional long ladder) but have since been roof tenting on them (static 300kg load) with no issues.
I really don’t see how the oem bars are worth the money unless you find some on here cheaply.
Good luck A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Thanks. Still looking but would rather hold out and wait for black ones to show up.
