Hi Pete

Checked online and the part number is correct but see it’s suppose to be a white one for the rear passenger side and on the slim off chance if the wrong sensor had been fitted ??

Know the OP has recalibrated the suspension a good half dozen times but every time he presses the button goes straight to extended

Just wondering if there could be bent pin in the ecu , as it seems to keep loosing the height setting calibration

Suppose it would be easy to do a continuity test from the ecu

Know I learnt big time of never skipping any checks and going through the system step by step to prove items are 100% sound

At least having the iid and a decent multimeter is half the battle Thumbs Up

Yes for sure m8, although you did make me jump to attention for a second. Thumbs Up

Found this and says it should be white

Could the wrong sensor possibly have been in the wrong box ????

Doubt it, but anything is possible, the box was open when I got it and it definitely was not white.

Thanks again for all your information, you are an encyclopaedia of information, or you have suffered too. Rolling with laughter
I will have to start reading the iid manual.

Like I said yesterday I calibrated the suspension from a "deemed to be" normal suspension mode.

466 mm front and 485 mm rears.

By this evening (vehicle unused and untouched for about 30 hours.

front left 435 mm
front right 430 mm
rear left 465 mm
rear right 450 mm

no faults of any description.

I started the engine and took it for a drive expecting it would do something but no, it was not interested, didn't inflate anything.

So rather than the suspension switch stuck or shorted, it looks like the only time the suspension does anything is if I use the switch ???

Hi Zimmer,
Did you manage to source the problem?
It appears that my African Disco is doing the same thing, almost identical. It is currently with the local General Stealer (JLR Lusaka) and they are informing me that both rear shock absorbers need to be replaced as, according to them, there is "no bounce!"
I've asked for any fault codes (if any) to be sent to me before I commit.

No m8, didn’t have time to look yet. It seems possessed though. If I calibrate the suspension and re enable the Eas, then over a few days the vehicle will gradually lower all round and never raise at all. If I calibrate the suspension and don’t bother enabling the Eas then the vehicle will rise and stay risen all round. No faults and no codes at all.
