Caravan Brakes Delaminated
Anyone seen this before?
I thought the caravan brakes were a bit odd on the way back from last weeks trip.
All the friction material has come off both shoes
I guess they could be original (2001 van)?

Seen the same on oldish cars, many moons ago they would have been riveted now they bond the linings on.

if these had been riveted, they probably wouldn't have come off. Richard

had this on my trailer...lining came off and locked up wheel....came home on three wheels with no load...check the other wheels all 4 had at least one coming off...never happened with rivets..suggest don't park up and leave the brake on...linings rust to drum and help pull linings off

That is true but they are 18 years old, maybe whoever serviced it last needs a kicking?
