It was in the jag first. That’s my story anyway Laughing

I wonder if some of the differences e.g. fuel pump were EU3/4? Differences.

Otherwise the jag engine is tweaked for a lighter car with higher bhp.
Landrover tuned for low down torque for off-roading.

Otherwise the LR has a sump suitable for angles found during off-roading. That wouldn’t fit in a car.

The sump is neither here nor there really.. but fuel pump, injectors, intakes, wiring looms, sensors, EGR valves, is just nuts from an engineering / cost perspective.

EU3 EGR's, HPFP, intakes, sensors etc are all the same between D3/RRS and Jag Thumbs Up

Injectors are essentially the same, just very minor internals changes

Engine loom is different, but connectors and terminals are the same

Main differences are sump and stiffener and exhaust manifolds. Rest of the changes are not that expensive in the grand scheme Thumbs Up

A local so called mechanic tried fitting a jag engine in a d3, it wont start......I mentioned to the owner there were some critical parts needed swopping over, so called me mechanic said not. I asked why it wont start then ??? " dunno" he said. Laughing Laughing Rolling Eyes
