DAB Resurrection
I've had my D4 HSE for about 6 months now and the DAB has never showed as an option on the infotainment screen. The only fault code was something to do with 'lost communication with DAB module'.
I cleared the code and that didn't do anything, Bodsy did a reset when he was here, again no luck.
My last port of call was to take the side panel off in the boot and inspect things. I took the power plug out and switched on the ignitition - no audio options at all were now showing. I then recconected it, and unplugged the MOST plug and switched on the ignition again - no audio options showing again.
After plugging the MOSt back in and switching on the ignition DAB was showing for the first time.
Success. That's one more thing ticked off the list. If you are having similar problems, it's well worth having a fiddle before parting with cash for a replacement unit.

I find DAB to be about as useless as the tv, when getting a good signal it is excellent, but travelling any distance I can lose the signal intermittently, so back to faithful old FM which is very good in all areas that I travel. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Absolutely I have totally given up on DAB in the car; likewise at home where I rely on Radioplayer or TuneIn Radio through my Sonos system.

The panel is the one on the right if you are looking into the boot. There is a screw under a small cover near the back of the seat and you have to take the rear door trim up, but after that, from memory, it all just pops off. There is a post somewhere with a photo removal guide.
I like the DAB, the sound quality is so much better than the FM tuner.2003 Freelander Commercial 2.0 TD4 (Oslo Blue) SOLD
