Any suggestions for Drivers door outside bottom trim affix?

About once a week I get out of the Disco and the bottom door trim falls off. I've put new clips on but still it surrenders to gravity. I don't want to glue it permanently as it needs to be removable.

Anyone know of a sealant or something to go on the clips that stays semi-rigid so you can still remove at a later date?

Interestingly I was watching that Top Gear vid when Clarkson takes a new D3 up a mountain and his door trim fell off too. Nice to see they addressed it in later production...(not!).

I had problems with mine , the only way I got them to attach was to put the two clip parts assembled onto the trim , then fit the whole to the door, they then stayed put.

Try using the Freelander 2 trim clips, as they are one piece. Unlike the originals
From memory the part number is DYC500030, but can check tomorrow

Yeah the LR fix is to use 4 black fixed clips.
2 at each end.
Yellow elsewhere.

You still need a dab of silicon glue though
