Timed Climate Switching Off

Is et the timed climate on our 2012 XS to come on this morning at 6.30am. It was forecast to be around -6 at that time and it certainly felt like it.
I could hear the heater start (it was slightly later than the time set) but it stopped after around 5 mins rather than the stated 20 mins.
The car has extended warranty - does this sound like a dealer visit and is it likely to be covered ?
That said, bookings at both Glasgow LR dealers seem to be at least 5/6 weeks ahead so it won't be sorted anytime soon Censored

It will cut off if your battery drops too low. Is it in good health?

Also were you quite low on fuel? This is another check.

if your on the original battery id say its a low battery issue 5-7 years seems to be about the age they start to get a bit suspect , ive just bought the c -tek charger and tow electrics adaptor for mine as it sometimes dosent get used for 3-4 days and my heater was doing this after a few days being stood. low fuel is the other one to check she wont operate if the lights on Thumbs Up

Good shout - I also use a C-Tek overnight if I have set timed climate. Even with a 1 year old good battery, I'd rather not set off with a lot of charging to do, especially if also using heated seats etc.

Thanks for replies guys.

The battery is less than a year old so shouldn't be that.

Not sure about fuel level but will have a look tonight before setting it up.

Update - fuel level on car was fine so it's a bit odd. Set it up on Tuesday night and even although it was milder on Wednesday at around 6.30am (prob +2C) the timed climate came on and ran for the full 20 mins - go figure !

mine has been a bit intermittant lately too, it was on the other morning (i opened the window and heard it) and it had part cleared the windscreen so had clearly been working as intended.
got in and started the car up, pop up window warning that timed climate was not available, check fuel level and battery. Shocked

fuel was definitely ok, battery is ok to the best of my knowledge but i need to get a meter onto it to confirm, temperature was above freezing around 2degC
