When I'm at work I have a laptop next to me. The screensaver pulls in photos from my collection. All well and good. However, the image below popped-up today, causing a degree of consternation from a colleague. I have been asked to ensure no similar images appear (as if I have hundreds), or to turn off the screensaver (fair enough). The word "offence" was not mentioned, more that it was sinister.
I took the photograph in a bunker museum near Arromanche. The expression itself is bad enough but the uniform and the context of the location made me 'LOL' - should it?

Personally I don't find that pic offensive but the expression on the mannequin, in whatever context and wearing or not wearing any clothes, would scare the bejesus out of me Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

It looks very similar to my neighbour James across the road (not the uniform though) The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
I got hauled in for " a quiet word " one day because, after the previous day had been one with much excrement hitting several air-recirculating devices, I'd commented (after resolving the incident, I'll add ) "lads ... good work today but remember it's only IT ... nobody died"
Apparently this was crime because I didn't know whether someone within earshot might have suffered a bereavement and would have been offended. FFS.

As I've probably mentioned before, I got a talking to for wearing a Hong Kong Fooey T-Shirt on a dress-down Friday. Rayyyysssiisssst! I have an aunt who is Hong Kong Chinese and a couple of acquaintances from there - they couldn't understand it!

There’s nowt wrong with an interest in military history of all nationalities and eras, both uniforms and weapons
