Electronic locking rear diff
Afternoon all,
just ordering some fluids for a differential service and see there is a difference between a non locking and an electronic locking rear diff.
I rang one main dealer and was told, from the VIN number, that my D4 doesn't have one but the advisor didn't sound too sure. I rang the supplying dealer and they say the only way to know for sure is to inspect the diff.
Can anyone tell me for certain how I can establish which style of diff is fitted to my car.
Thanks

They will check that from the your D4 buildsheet so i'd be surprised if they are wrong. I think there are different images on the 4x4 screen for locked and non-locking Diff IIRC - search ^^ above will help Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

If you are still in doubt you can always crawl under and have a look at the rear diff. The diff locking actuator is located on top as per No'4 in the D3 images below.
