What size wheel/tire are people using for winter tires? I have an LR3 HSE which has 19 in rims, 255/55/19 tire size. Traditionally, winter tires/wheels use a smaller rim size to get a higher side wall, i.e. 255/60/18. Is this what most are doing (especially for an HSE)? Is there any particular advantage for the 18 in. size, versus the original 19 in. rims? I am looking for a set of winter wheels and want to know which size I should shoot for. Thanks. I think you are stuck with the 19"s. 18"s won't clear the calipers on the V8.
Some people run Michelin on the 19"s. I am sure you will get some feed back soon.
