Neighbourhood Watch - Salford style

Am I taking the peas or reflecting on sad reality of life in some parts of the UK ?

I think the latter, but in any case I spotted this for sale on a local community website ...

love the last sentence - means he probably has a softer side too.

"Blast proof, partially tested with fireworks"

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

But not screwdriver proof. No good against those going equipped or the DIY muggers. Thumbs Up

Are there evening English classes available in the Salford area?
If not, maybe the seller can spend the £45 from the sale of the vest on a few books.

Only two capital letters and one punctuation mark in the whole of his 4 line listing. Rolling Eyes
He's even got a "witch" in there!

Confused

Putting on the tin helmet in response to any of my grammatical errors.

No! Wow that was horrific.

Parts of Wythenshawe have notoriety as a bit of an ‘earthy’ area, but I’ve never seen anything like that!

Having said that, the number of burglaries, car thefts and armed robberies around leafy South Manchester is truly scary at the moment.

That is the petrol station that i use when short of fuel as its the nearest to Manchester airport since they knocked the two on-site patrol stations down. I was once parked in the multi story at the side waiting for a flight to come in and saw possibly the same lot (But less of them) going into the Mc Donald's near where I was parked. Truly scary stuff. If I though I was going to be attacked I would have no hesitation at driving through them. (I know then I would be in trouble but thats what its come to in some places unfortunatly !)

I think the Halloween nonsense is something imported from the States ... there was an article about it at the time IIRC.

Perhaps the stab-vest seller and his mates could be sent to Wythenshawe next October ?
