I’m replacing the cam chains and tensioners on my tdv6 but the injector pump timing belt tensioner has slipped on me when I removed it, is there an easy way to slacken the tension of it for refitting? Thanks.

It is supposed to be replaced when the belt is changed. I’m not aware that it can be re set. If belt and tensioner are used, it is worth replacing both. It is not an area of this engine that you would want to revisit, unless absolutely necessary D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

The belt an tensioner has been replaced less than 2 months ago, that’s why I’m using it again.
