LR have offered to fit an aerial but thats worse!

Very much doubt it, too small.
LR should sort your radio reception under warranty, mine is perfect and uses the glass aerial in the rear side windows. No need for a roof mounted one. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

kevin , noticed you have privacy glass in the rearmost panel. The radio antennae is situated within the window/glass structure.Has it been damaged in the process ?
Ive seen the beesting aerial that they have on the new issue commercials ( over the windscreen) and it looks terrible.I presume this is the aerial that they were offering you ?
If they didn't do so much ofa butcher job in Rosslare of panelling out the back windows and instead just tinted them 100 % black then there wouldn't be any need for the beesting at all

Err ... buy a 21st Century phone? It would be cheaper and easier?
Sorry - was referring to the fact that LR cradles support only a handful of phones and none that anyone would normally use. This leaves most of us without the ability to use our phone books in the system, unless we get the latest TSB done which apparently sorts all that out.
Currently using a Blackberry Pearl 8100 which is a cracking device, and even managed to get it connecting automatically now.

Thanks Andy and Discowex. Met with Marcon on Wednesday and he suggested much the same, (damage to the aerial during commercialisation)
The Bee-sting aerial is a model with double d's compared to what LR offered for an aerial
At this stage i'm kinda after hijacking the original post sorry, about that.
All the same good info to go on with and thanks

Hi
I am getting a 07 XS on Monday that has PTI fitted with a roof fin.
Please correct me if I have pick this thread up wrong.
But the way I have read it is that when using the PTI with Bluetooth that you can do away with the roof fin?
This would help me as the 5cm that I would lose in height would mean I could fit it in my garage
Cheers
Graeme
