There is more than 1 picture in the new story
I first assumed the loose roge wheel had done the damage to the D3 wing and BMW wing.
A loose wheel is gonna do damage.

It's an airbag warning sticker. Looking at the pictures in the linked story, the Disco's airbags didn't fire. The BMW's did, at least on the steering wheel. The curtain bags didn't so that also has an airbag warning sticker on it. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Stating the blatantly obvious, looking at the two pictures of the vehicles, the impact has been front offside to front offside (obvious), and the collision has occurred on the Discovery’s side of the road. You can tell that from the debris prior to the wheel that’s come off. It would be fair to suggest then that the BMW for some reason has drifted over the centre white lines onto the “wrong” side of the road.
Crikey, working out collisions is a blast from the past! I retired eight years ago.

A man was left with a serious head injury after a two-car crash in Cheltenham on Sunday morning.
The incident happened in Priors Road shortly before 10.55am and involved a BMW and a Land Rover.
The driver of the black BMW One Series, a 50-year-old man from Cheltenham, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with a serious head injury.
Gloucestershire police said in a statement late on Sunday evening that his injury is not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of the black Land Rover Discovery was uninjured.

Could the Disco have been passing the parked car close to the loose wheel at the time of the collision? That would have put it slightly over the centre line. If the two drivers hadn't seen each other for any reason then...bang!Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
