Hi all,
So following on from my previous first post, I'm now the owner of a 2015 XS commercial with 55k on it (pics to follow).
Hardly been with me 10mins before receiving some LED bulbs in the interior, puddle lamps and bottoms of the doors! I am experimenting with persuading it to play from a USB socket so far..
I have two questions- It has the standard Meridian audio system, -- would the tailgate sub wiring be in-place to just plug one in? (I am experimenting with persuading / cajoling it to play from a USB socket still... )
And the previous owner replaced the battery with a Varta AGM and since the stop start doesn't work. I'm not fussed on that really, but does the MY15 definitely have a secondary battery or not? If so, where.
Photo's to follow, thanks in advance !! Tim.

Hi Tim,
if you have a colour screen I would have thought you have a sub already. Its easy to check for in in the lower boot.
If you don't let me know - I have a sub in the garage from various upgrades done last year Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Indeed I have the full size colour screen.
I'll have a closer look in the lower tailgate.

So follow up to this - I indeed do have a Sub already fitted ! Tested it and it is working...
It was full of fluff dust and general crap, all cleaned out now, but I'm pretty underwhelmed with the sound and performance - sounds flappy and buzzy although the speaker itself seems fine.
What are peoples thoughts on the factory sub - am I expecting too much??
Also had a quick check of the secondary battery for the stop/start . It's dead as dead can be- 0v. Not really keen on having the stop/start working for wear on the starter and turbos....

The Sub is ok for what it is, it’s where it’s fitted that lets it down. 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

So I am about to dynomat the lower tailgate inside and out, seal up all the holes to create an enclosure the sub has some chance of working in and see how that improves it.
Stand by !

Just to follow up again...
Lower tailgate is now dynamat'd inside and out and the carpet firmly refitted.
The improvement is very noticable, bass is tighter and harder hitting to the point where Im going to leave it as-is for now rather than going aftermarket for an improvment. .

Hi, does the same rule apply to the D3, i.e. that if you have the touch screen you sub in the boot? I have the hi line version I believe but I am seriously thinking of taking all the FF stereo out and starting from scratch. Part of that would be to fit a sub, if I dont have one.
Famous five, if you still have the sub let me know.
