Also trying to work out the best way to connect the wire to the conduit , never used the crimps before and used the battery crimper I got , doesn’t seem to bad
First attempt was abit of a mess so took the clamp off and used 2 x crimps instead , put some heatshrink on the end
Maybe using some small cable tires to secure the cable to the conduit , ???
Trying to work out how to secure the panel with some short lengths of wire , so if I drive away with the lead srill connect the short pieces of wire will prevent the panel being ripped off , maybe 1 x for of wire will be suffice
Thinking or maybe using some penny washers and rivet it to the holes in the the bird box plates ???
Other end could loop it through the bumpers large towing point thats in the middle of the towing socket
Work in progress

Also started to do my oil pressure switch , for now just fitted the gauge in the side panel
had to fit a longer lead , will cut to length when I get round to installing it
Can set an alarm in the oil pressure monitor
Fingers crossed the other bits are correct

You can make the CTEK plug latchless using the info that’s been the wiki since 2013

That looks like a Bentley charging connector. Congrats on the upgrade!
Would love to know where you got it from

A CTEK Question
Don't want to raise a separate thread, so can someone please advise:-
Can the engine be started when connected to the CTEK with power on?...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Yes it can be started with the ctek connected.
Don’t ask how I know
Should you leave the CTEK connected while starting the engine.....

So, just to confirm (after Erea's coded reply ) , I can start the engine (which I know I can) - BUT WITHOUT DOING ANY DAMAGE TO THE CTEK & MY D4.
