Build NCD with a Mirrored policy?

A quick question

Mrs G_Cam has had A Plan Insurance for some 8 years with two DIFFERENT vehicles. It was not a Multi car Policy! They were on two separate policies.
When the second vehicle was insured A Plan offered to Mirror the first policy as there was probably 20+ Yrs NCD (I know you only sometimes count up to 9 or 10 years)

SO The Question IS

Does the Second Policy build up NCD (it has been in place for 7 odd years?)

Thanks

2 x D4 both SOLD
1 x Mrs D4 'Panther' SOLD
1 x Outlander van SOLD
1 continual stream of car parts and me living in the garage...

Yes it should have 7 years worth as a minimum Thumbs Up

(Subject to no claims being made on the policy)

Bit late to the party Bow down

Yes it should accrue it's own no claims bonus - and will stop being mirrored when it gets to whatever the 'maximum ncb discount' is with the insurer which is usually 9 years.

Think you can bank it as well if you suspend one policy... I seem to remember for 18 months??

So you can buy a second vehicle in that period and resume the NCD rather than loosing it and having to start again!

Ncb can lay dormant (unattached to a vehicle) for 2 years before you lose it 👍
