MyBali beauty was 10 on the 1st of June 32000 miles the best car I have ever owned.
Just had its 20th service and in 10 years has only required 2 sets of tyres (due to side wall cracking), a battery, timing belts and compressor.
She still looks and drives like new.

Mine is 10 in September, but I've only owned it for 6 of those. I only used to keep vehicles for a couple of years max but can't seem to part with this one. Still feels like new, it's done about 80k miles. Even the engine bay still looks factory fresh. I want to change it for a FFRR but can't seem to find a reason to. Maybe when the warranty gets too expensive.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

had my HSE since jan 2010 (brand new)now done 50 k miles, superb towing vehicle, usual nigling failures such as fuel filter sensor, fuel tank floats (expensive) poor grip on waterlogged grass,(my mk 1 range rover v8 had far superior grip) best towing vehicle I have owned,3.5 tonnes trailer and load no problem plus very good braking power to stop heavy loads. currently on General Grabber tyres, awful tyre noise.

Yup. Had my 2010 model since 2012. What's gone wrong with it? How long have you got? A probably incomplete list:
Handbrake (of course)
Compressor (naturally, later one fitted)
Front lower arms (inevitable)
Rear upper arms (not a shock..)
One of the headlight bulbs keeps blowing (but hasn't for 6 months. Fingers crossed)
A couple of LEDs out in back lights. Replaced.
Fuel gauge stopped reading (obviously. Tank dropped to repair. Replaced pump whilst at it).
Exhaust pipe rusted/vibration, sheared off behind centre box.
Other than that, just consumables, tyres, battery (the original lasted until 2020!), brakes and the like.
Most of the faults have been such that the car was still usable until it was convenient (for convenient, read financially viable) to be repaired. So really, I can't complain too much about the old girl.

Mine is 8 years old this month. <42k on the clock. I'm the 2nd owner and have had it about 4 years.
Mostly used for weekends and holidays with the odd bit of "transit van" duties when big stuff needs moving for friends & family. Serviced regularly and always gets a mixed roads run (including a stretch of motorway) each week to keep things moving.
My first Discovery but I've hankered for one for years since a best friend had his 300 TDi D1 many moons ago. Spent quite a few months looking for the right one and this one ticks 99% of the boxes. I'm really pleased with it and it's definitely a keeper.

Absolutely stunning that is.
I do love a Discovery. Maybe one day I will return to one. I do think the last of the 4’s are really going to hold strong money. Nothing has quite managed to replace it.Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.
