I had my renewal through from Hastings this week and they wanted £709 which is up from £575 last year.
I obviously started checking around and found Aviva could do better cover from £360ish, but with a few addons I wanted took it to just over £400. I put on the Hastings app that I didn't want to renew and they came back with a figure of £377 with slightly less cover than Aviva. Isn't it strange that when I don't want to renew, they can knock over £200 off. I wouldn't go back on principle now even if they knocked even more off.Volunteer driver with 4x4 Response South East Wales

Hi @skunk 38
Funny enough also with Hastings’s and indeed so annoying they can’t do that lower price from the offset instead of u having to waste time in searching for a better deal
Great u found a good deal but still dam annoying when many companies do this year after year at renewal time , personally used confused .com for many of my quotes each year to see what other quotes come back at
