France Maps
Hello,
What's the (latest version) sat nav disc like for roads in France please? I got from Yorks to the Alps and back last year with a TomTom and didn't look at a map once. Can I expect a similar level of laziness?2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

I thought there was a pretty good level of coverage when we did the Croisiere. Many of the tracks we went along were included on the satnav and these were very minor roads.
I drove from Germany through France to Spain with the 250 disc (260 is newer) and the coverage was better than my Garmin Nuvi. I have the 250 disc if yours is older that you can have for postage price (replaced with 260)."A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"

Thanks very much for the replies.
Thanks too for the generous offer of the disc - however, I've already got the latest. Thanks though.2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

Latest (YIW500260) has excellent coverage of France right down to minor skinny roads
Sometimes it can route you oddly, but can be corrected by using waypoints if you know which way YOU want to go

Seems to do the job.....had a couple of occassions where it has tried to make me turn the wrong way onto one way streets in town centres, but always quickly gets you back on route.
certainly roads that often little more than farm tracks are on there!!!! Has even taught some French friends some new routes end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

...260 works well in France, but if you want to specify the route, you need to check "her" choice and add in waypoints to clinch your preferences.
The number is printed on the disc. You can just about reach under the passenger seat when forward, open the door slide and eject the disc...
Andy2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods
