RLD Winch Mount 2016 D4
Hi all,
During this period it has finally given me the opportunity to fit my winch that has been sitting around since 2018. My Disco is my daily runner and with 2 young kids it has been impossible to find the time to fit previously.
The Winch is now mounted and all going well.
The question is does anyone have a guide for what needs cutting out from the bumper. I know the the lip needs cutting back to fit round the winch which is easy to see, measure etc. but does anything else need doing or will the bumper just fit once that is cut? Pictures would be great.
Also looking for ideas on mounting the solenoid. it's either going behind the bumper on the plate along with the air suspension parts or on top behind the drill. Thoughts on either please

Thanks, I've seen this guide but their mount is quite a bit bigger so I'm assuming that it does not need that amount of work doing unless someone that has done this on a newer D4 and can tell me. Dorian Woolger

My mount was a Britpart supplied one.
I cut out the width of the tray using a multi tool then followed the guide above to remove a section of the internal bumper, this allowed the bumper to fit over the mount fully.
I measured the centre of the fairlead holes from the floor then refitted the bumper. Masking tape the cut out area then mark hole centre height from floor. Mark bumper where one side of the tray is.
Remove bumper
Measure from side of the tray to the fairlead hole centre,
Transfer measurement from mark on bumper.
Draw round fairlead onto cardboard and cut out, pierce bolt holes from fairlead through cardboard template.
Align template holes over marks made on bumper, draw round and cut, I used a thin disc in the grinder and a jigsaw.
