If it is 'just' the two wire connector it may be the one they use when transporting new vehiclesCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Looks like the transportation connection so answer is ... Nothing if car has been delivered and battery installed.
Just keep it tucked away..

On vehicles between the factory and the dealership they fit a transit relay which is controlled by these wires and disconnects the battery to prevent excessive drain.
The dealer at PDI removes the transit relay and docks the connector out of the way.
Everyone who's either replaced a battery or spent time looking in their engine bay has said what's this connector for. You're not the first and wont be the last by any means!1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Thanks for the answers.
How is the relay controlled? Could I make use of this connector to control a solenoid?Dorian Woolger

I was just about to ask the same question about that connector! Guess we’ve more time atm for rummaging about under the bonnet. Was worried I might have dislodged it from somewhere and assumed it was Webasto related as it looked like it came from the webasto loom...
The relay is basically a big switch to disconnect the battery when the ignition is switched off. It's not suitable for any other use.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

For sure it is the electrically actuated valve connector for the "Webasto 3 ways valve" (for the cabine heater option if ordered from new).....
Strange, I've got the same connector on my HSE and that's got the webasto heater with interior climate function.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8
