Hi all,
My Discovery 4 2010 on about 4 occasions in the last 6 months has shown the RP warning, after driving for about 1/4 - 1/2 mile the fault clears and the vehicle drives as normal, this tends to happen when it has stood for some time, I have checked for cracked manifold but I see no oil and any evidence of a crack, I don't have a code reader but Disco Micky reset the battery and reversing sensors (new battery and tow bar fitted) recently and no mention of any other faults, any thoughts ? Discovery 3 SE gone but not forgotten.

Without codes you’re chasing your tail. Get them read and go from there.

Could be the water in fuel warning. Seems the right vintage and symptoms! However as others have said it needs a code to be sure!

Hi People
Had the codes checked and surprise its a battery problem, I put a new battery, purchased from Halfords in January (Yussa), BMS was reset, but turns out the battery is only pushing out 72% on start up although the alternator is working at 98%, I am advised that these batteries are suspect, and I should be using a Bosch or equivalent, anyone come across this before, anyhow as soon as I can I will take the battery back and either get a refund or replacement Bosch battery, advised to start on regular basis if going to be left for a while (probably under current lockdown) to stop error codes. Hi James
Sorry, the garage did not advise what the fault codes were, they said there were multiple faults caused by the battery, replaced the battery and hay ho no more faults. Discovery 3 SE gone but not forgotten.
