Lock seized

I just picked up my 'new' 05 Disco, and tried to remove the towball but the lock appears to be seized Confused . With a bit of WD40 I managed to get the key to go all the way in, but it won't turn in either direction. I see there is a pin that goes through the green plastic part just to the side of the lock barrel - if I press that out will the lock barrel come out? Or will that remove the whole plastic assembly and lock barrel together. I only want to remove the tow hitch for now - and can fit a new lock if need be once it's off. Cheers.

Pull the green tab out and then turn the lock.

Else use a hammer to give it a good tap, probably seized.

Yep, tried that, still stuck! I'm gonna knock the pin out tomorrow and remove the whole green bit (assuming that's what the pin's for!) as the key will snap if I put any more pressure on it.

If its just been bought... is it a LR Approved D3 ?

If so, get the dealer to sort it, it should be covered by the warranty if it was fitted when you bought it.
