Hello,
Can anyone help please,
I'm in the process of fitting some LED marker lights to the front grill and want to wire them into the sidelight feed loom,
now according to the book of lies (Haynes manual) It says there should be 6 wires feeding the headlight unit...
for example box 36 is the LH headlight unit.. the manual shows 1 wire R/B 1 wire U/K and 1 wire U/S and 3 wires black to earth...
with me so far ?
however my multipin plug that goes into the headlight unit has 8 wires 3 black and 5 others
I have the following
1x red/ green
1x blue/ slate
1x red/ black
1x red
1x blue/white with what looks like a hint of pink ?
This is on the passenager side...………
Anyone know which wires I need to tag into to wire my LEDs so thay come on with the car sidelights....
please help as her indoors is getting cranky as the car is in bits...
cheers gents and lassies

I’d try red black.
The blues are dip and main beam.

Have tried to use a multi meter but could not seem to get a reading even after trying all different combinations of holes...….
might be that the multi meter is playing up.

Normal convention is that red is sidelight . Should have power to that with sidelight on . If your meter not working, connect a couple of wires to a small 12V bulb and use that to check for voltage

Start by testing your meter on a know source such as the battery, you can then leave the earth wire in place and test the wires on the passenger side.

Be aware that LEDs can play havoc with your CAN BUS so if you start getting some odd electrical issues, think back to your LEDs.
And don’t use Haynes electrical diagrams. When you see the LR wiring diagrams you soon realise the Haynes items are more generic and missing much detail.
If you search on the forum you will find free JLR LR3 and 4 wiring diagrams to look at. 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
