Good mmorning guys
Ok after 3 hrs at it I've just done 10 miles with no faults
Here's what I did .
First I rough set the toe in /out by setting the distance it shows in the owners manual .
Then I checked the height sensors and found one of the brackets was bent slightly so resting this as per the other side I managed to get to within 2 mm
Then as best as I could I reset all the camber / castor by eye and tightened it all up .
Next was resetting the SAS this I could do with the cheap iCarsoft diagnostics
So then I've taken it out for a short run of 10 Miles and no codes or faults have shown .
Now I know it's going to need a full 4wheel alignment doing but considering that it was throwing up codes and bongs within 10 mtr of driving it I'd consider this a result to get it to the alignment centre.
So thanks guys .
I'm still unsure if I'm going to keep it as I've still got my old d2 and that doesn't need all the faffing about with diagnostics and sensors etc .
If I decide to run the 3 I think its best I invest into the gap diagnostics .
Whats your thoughts?

Stick with it mate the D3 are more like a woman let you know when they are not feeling wanted and require your attention. Very much a Love Hate relationship Took me a time to bond with mine like you still had a D2. I have a Hawkeye fault code reader which doesn't need registering to a vehicle as mate with D4 will testify having regularly reset faults on his until he got manifold replaced Welsh Collie Chauffeur Service To Barney & Rooney.

Key point
You should have a full tank of diesel. Its in the maintenance manual. Or else have ???kg of weight placed above the tank. Hope that helpsDiscovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂
