Not ‘needed’
For a water diverter valve, I assume for extremely cold places

Sorry to drag an old topic back up but I am looking to remote my FBH and I saw the question was asked what are the two wires from the FBH - black and red that go nowhere but to a blanking connector?. Do they do anything can they be used for anything? Keen to understand as much as possible before I fit any remote.

Thanks

Hi Colin,
For your info, there is a remote kit in the for sale section today.
Using that kit, you just plug it into existing wiring in the boot, drivers side, and clip the box onto bracket already there. Takes about an hour, including removal / refitting the trim panel.
Hope that helps. Thumbs Up

Sorry, my mistake. Bow down

Assumed FBH fitted would be same as on D4.

Maybe the info could help a D4 owner following this. Thumbs Up

The FBH itself is not the reason your referal will not fit ;–) the wiring you refering too is though Cool
