How did you change the pump ? Seals
Did u remove gearbox?
Hi Pete
May i ask plse and Just an idea if this could this work , seeing if the pump is working and gearboxes oil cooler clear ; by removing the flow and return pipes from the gearboxes oil cooler at the front , fit a temporary short piece of clear tubing between each gearbox pipe , then start the engine and see if the oil is moving and if the drivability improves
Or would that not be wise or help in any way plse
Many thks as always and apologises for the daft question

I was thinking something similar (i.e disconnect the pipe, put it in a bottle and start the engine to see if the pump is actually working).
But as the fault seams only to be at hot, yours is a better idea.

Did you check the oil level with the engine running? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks for the suggestions.
My first action was to power flush gearbox and refill, via pipe connections at radiator. This showed low and erratic flow of oil, although I did manage to complete fill on the gearbox level plug, at temperature with engine running.
I am going to fit an untried gearbox, valve block and TC, which may result in a fix or other problems. Will update shortly.Chris

Many thks Pete , alas don’t know what the maximum temperature of the gearbox should be as I then wondered if it goes over the set temperature if that would therefore indicate the internal gearboxes pump isn’t providing the correct flow rate
As always extremely appreciative of ur expertise snd hope u didn’t mind me asking
Thk u
